Amy Katz

PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER

Amy had planned events for many years for friends and acquaintances. However, when her daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes nineteen years ago, she was determined to help find a cure. She founded, planned and organized the first Carnival For A Cure fundraiser for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation in Manhattan. Since then, Amy has planned and executed hundreds of events including Weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteens, Milestone Parties, Corporate Events, Fundraisers, Not For Profit Events and many other celebrations.

Amy previously worked in the fields of marketing, sales, retailing and the fashion industry. During those years, she honed her negotiating skills; presently she puts them to good use when she negotiates contracts with various vendors while planning an event.

Amy holds a BS degree from Syracuse University in Retail/Marketing.

Amanda

VICE PRESIDENT

Amanda is Amy’s right hand and has been finishing her sentences for the last 4 years. Amanda found her true passion for the event planning industry beginning in college. Since then, she has mastered the world of wedding and events, becoming one of the smiling faces of Amy Katz Events. Amanda is a driven, patient and compassionate planner who brings her absolute A-game and all around talent to your special day. Whether it is creating a timeline, arranging vendors or anything in between, Amanda is sure to do it with elegance, class and perfection. Amanda is there to answer all of your questions, hold your hand and make sure your day is everything you dreamed it would be.

Maddy

SENIOR WEDDING

AND EVENT MANAGER

Maddy is a Long Island native who enjoys working closely with the AKE team to create our clients' dream events. She started her career with a background in catering and has brought her skills over to the event planning industry. Maddy enjoys traveling and exploring new places, especially for our destination events! Maddy has a passion for creating and organizing events that go above and beyond her clients' expectations and feels rewarded when everything comes together seamlessly.

Nicole

SENIOR WEDDING

AND EVENT MANAGER

Nicole’s lifelong enthusiasm for celebration and planning parties led her to a career in the events industry post college graduation. Every weekend Nicole is not working, she loves to hike and ski her favorite trails of Colorado. Nicole loves the adrenaline of event days and you can always find her running around perfecting every little detail. There is nothing better than the happiness Nicole feels at the successful conclusion of each party and the joy it brings to our clients. Nicole’s love for planning and eye for detail is sure to create the perfect ambiance for your special day.

Andrew

ASSISTANT EVENT MANAGER

Andrew has been living and breathing weddings and events his entire life. A Long Island native

as well, he grew up surrounded by flowers and decor that inspired his desire to work in this industry. Andrew’s favorite part of every wedding is the look of pure happiness on the couples face the moment they finish their vows. You can find Andrew all over on an event day, as he sees everything, and always ensures perfection for you. Whether you are chatting on the phone with Andrew in our office or making jokes with him on the big day, he is sure to make your day!

Kathy

BRIDAL CONSULTANT/

DAY OF COORDINATOR

Kathy is an “A-team” vet working with Amy for the past 7 years. You can always identify Kathy by her radiant smile. As a day of coordinator, she brings professionalism and spirit to the dance floor. Kathy is there to bustle your dress, keep you on time, and make sure your day is one to remember.

Regina

BRIDAL CONSULTANT/

DAY OF COORDINATOR

Regina started working on Amy’s team 5 years ago and since then has been a shining star. Regina is known as our bride’s best friend. From breathing exercises to holding your hand before you walk down the aisle, Regina ensures that your every need is met. Regina has watched hundreds of weddings unfold and looks forward to many more beautiful ones ahead or many more beautiful memories.

Ana

BRIDAL CONSULTANT/

DAY OF COORDINATOR

Ana started working events with Amy in 2015 and since then has blossomed into an amazing asset of our team. Ana says, “The energy that I bring to these events is a reflection of a great environment Amy has created for her team.” Ana’s favorite part about her job is getting to be part of our clients happiest and most memorable moments. Ana loves being a part of a team that enjoys bringing happiness to our client’s events. Ana also loves working with her sister Regina!

Marcella

BRIDAL CONSULTANT/

DAY OF COORDINATOR

Marcella started her career as a stage manager and has taken her skills from the stage and brought them to our events. Marcella is an actress at heart, which gives her the ability to adapt to any role she has in your day. Marcella is excited to take stage at your event and support you as a shining star.
